Founders
Asi Shalgi served as a Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructures. During his tenure as DG he was responsible for the legislation resulting in Israel’s New Electricity Law allowing the involvement of Independent Power Producers (IPP) and the establishment of the Public Utility Authority, the regulator of the energy sector. The authority is the primary vehicle for decentralization of the electricity market in the country.
Dana Caspi and Nissan Caspi are the co-founders of G.P. Global Power Ltd. where Nissan served as the CEO and Dana was the CFO. Each, with strong backgrounds in project-finance, realized the potential of privatization of the electricity market. With a small but vibrant team of experts, they built the IPM Beer Tuvia 450MW power plant and later took the company public on the TASE.
Over the past few years, they have been focused on the development of independent energy microgrids in Europe through their fully owned company, IP Innovative Power GmbH.
